Last year, I was unable to comment on blogs. I couldn't figure out what was wrong, so I switched from Internet Explorer to Google Chrome and yay me, I was able to comment again. Well, my problems have come back. At first it was isolated to other blogs. I would post and click publish and it would disappear. Then, I tried to comment on my blog and still, no dice. So I read somewhere that switching from the comment embedded below the post to the pop up window or full page would help. I switched to pop up window and I can now comment on my own blog.
I know other people are having troubles too, so if you are thinking you aren't getting as many comments as you used to, switch to pop up window and see if it helps.
I would love to comment on your blog, but over half the ones I visit, I'm just unable. If you'd like me to test your blog with my failure as a comment-er....shoot me a message.

That is intensely irritating, Diana. I had to switch to Chrome last year for the same reason.
I hope it sorts itself out for you.
I still use IE but had to switch to the pop up box months ago for the same reason - and I much prefer it!
Huh. I didn't realize there had been problems lately. I use firefox and haven't noticed any. Now I'm curious if you can comment on my blog. I'm not a big fan of the popup window but I'd hate to lose blogger friends. I remember big problems last year though.
I can't comment on SP Bowers blog or Deborah's. Not sure if you'll get my response to this, but no comment.
I have commented on Rosemary's before so I should, but...
That explains why I lost a "post comment" button when I tried to comment on a blog on my work computer (after hours, promise).
It doesn't explain why my wordpress ID doesn't work anymore, though, which is too bad because it means that if there's no Name/URL function, I can't comment these days.
Also, I hate the double word verification. Because one wasn't enough?
No problem here. Then again, I probably don't comment as often as I should.
I changed to Intense Debate and have noticed that some people can't comment on my blog. I think you might be one of them. Dunno why it happens and trying to change back to blogger than now has embedded comments doesn't seem to work for me. If it ain't one thing, it's another. :(
@J.L. I can comment on your blog, but it doesn't put my pic on it. I have to type all my info in. BUT, that is much better than typing a comment on blogger and clicking publish and it disappears.
